Joline Scheffler
Joline Scheffler presents a warm and atmospheric live session recorded at ikii, an intimate listening space for sound and art in Berlin, built around a minimal setup and moving away from the club into a softer environment for focused listening.
With the S4 as the centre of the performance, the set unfolds through evolving textures, resampled recordings, and gently shaped sounds. External synths were recorded into the instrument, then sculpted further to create depth, movement, and a calm sense of progression.
Ableton Live provides the clock, with bass lines faded in using a Novation Launch Control, while an Elektron Digitakt adds drums around the main texture.
The drum sounds and steps were prepared in advance, but performed intuitively in response to the atmosphere of the set. Inspired by spring and nature coming back to life, the session opens a gentle space where time can simply be present.
About Joline Scheffler
Joline Scheffler’s sound is rooted in the Swedish forests. It builds from the ground up, moving with a steady, hypnotic pulse. Raw energy, reverb-soaked atmosphere, and direct hooks, are shaped into a live language that stays open in the moment.
As a live act, Joline moves between unreleased material and improvisational intuition, with performances and DJ sets at venues including FOLD, HOL, ELSE, and EVO. Once a key figure behind the Northern Swedish collective Mötet, she has since released on labels including KSR, SK_eleven, H-Productions, and Warok.
